Driving the Bentley Continental GT Coupé

Sometimes the car gods smile big, even on me.

This weekend, I got the privelege of cruising around a bit in two Bentleys: Continental GT Coupé and the Continental GTC. I don’t drive too many sports, luxury or exotic cars, so my expectations were high. They were shattered. Driving those cars, particularly the coupé, change everything you feel about driving cars.

The style, design, uniqueness, sound and speed make for one rediculously fun experience. The acceleration is incredible with 600hp. I could barely feel the gear transitions, even while stomping it. The handling is super comfortable and predictable. The sound of the exhaust alone is entertaining and satisfying. The brakes are very important and very reliable. The interior is actually roomie for me being tall. The luxury tech features all over the inside are awesome. The new partnership with Naim Audio makes for an excellent factory sound system. The whole appeal of the car is an instant head turner at intersections, this I can vouch for.

In all, both cars were amazing. I’m a big fan. Quality, style and speed like this are worth craving. It’s not uncommon to crave expensive cars I guess, even those with a $200,000+ price tag. That’s roughly $6,000/month for leasing.

Here’s a couple shots:
